Agree - I think he was the figurehead! But then who would have thought Avalon would be an expanding passenger airport a few years ago? Do I detect LinFox in there somewhere? The good news is that the Geelong and Melbourne operators probabaly have much more political clout - the bad news is that "Defence is yet to comment publicly on the proposal, but several sources confirmed that it recently commissioned a study into the future of the site" - which implies that SOMETHING will be done to the site if there are no objections....
