Hi Everyone,

As David Geering just said I do have something to say about the NSW & ACT Twitchathon being held this weekend, commencing 3 pm!

Altogether there are 80 participants in 9 Main Race Teams, 12 Champagne Teams, 3 Dollarbird teams (Young people 10-16 years) and 2 Little Curlew Teams (childen under 10).

The money raised will be used to help establish the Gluepot Reserve Educational Unit so it is not too late to make a donation direct or to sponsor a team or two. If you don't know any team members let me know and you sponsor my team (the Central Coast Champions). Unfortunately my team does not have the form that others have had in recent times. However our team tied for first place once & was second once. In more recent times we have been joint 2nd and Joint 3rd place-getters in the Main Race. We might be getting older but we are still very keen!

Birds Australia (NSW & ACT Branch) is especially thankful to our sponsors who have provided some great prizes, in particular Emu Tours & Follow That Bird Tours, Oscars B&B, Professor & Mrs Henry Nix, the Enviobook Shop and the Binocular and Telescope Shop, York St Sydney. Mike Smith from Bintel has donated a pair of the new Avian 8x40 Gerber Binoculars (valued at $570) as first prize in the Section for the teams raising the most money.

So happy Twitching all participants
