I'm sure Alan Morris will also jump at the opportunity to respond.

The NSW/ACT Twitchathon is on this weekend.  The competition looks as though it will be fierce this year with The Hunter Home Brewers confidant of retaining the trophy while the Whacked-out Woodswallows (WOW) just as confident of regaining the trophy after last years narrow defeat (a minor hiccup really).  Mind you, both teams are nervously looking over their shoulder as there is a very strong contingent of teams participating and 2005 could well be anyone's year.

WOW has been spurred on this year by a sponsorship deal offering
  • $1 per bird from 1 to 218 (last years score if I remember correctly)
  • $5 per bird from 219 to 229
  • $500 for bird 230

Even if the unthinkable happens and WOW (myself, Carol Probets & Clive Meadows) don't pry the trophy from the Brewers this year, the result can only be a good one for Gluepot - the recipients of this years funds.

The Hunter Home Brewers have apparently supaglued the trophy to the bullbar of their landcruiser - that's OK I've just been down to the supermarket and purchased a large quality of Supaglue remover!!!!

Cheers, and good luck (although not too much of it) to all those participating in this weekends race.
