Hi All,

First of all, thanks to those who gave advice about finding Western Bowerbird in Alice Springs.  I was able to locate the bower at Olive Pink Botanic gardens, and was fortunate enough to observe the male in the bower painting the sides and not paying too much attention to me.  I was able to get amazing views and photographs.

On the way back to the airport from the gardens, I observed the strange sight of a Crimson Rosella flying across the road.  No doubt an aviary escapee, but a little surreal nonetheless.

Regards,
Chris
