Sadly our current
warden Ricki will be leaving us at the end of September, so the position to work
in this amazing area is open once again.
Birds Australia are seeking a hard-working,
enthusiastic person or couple to manage
the Broome Bird Observatory (BBO) under the direction of the BBO Management
committee. The Observatory is situated in a bush environment on Roebuck
Bay, Broome. It is a not for profit research and education centre which runs tours and courses. It has limited accommodation and
camping facilities. Duties include
marketing and promotion, management of small
staff, shop and tour operations and
financial management. Accommodation is
provided on site. Contact m("birdsaustralia.com.au","bbo");"> or (08) 9193 5600 for a
position description and application kit. Applications close October 28th
at 5pm
Hundreds of
thousands of migratory waders utilise the bay throughout the year and bush birds
are abundant. The other nature and wildlife of the area will also blow you
away.
Good
luck to the applicants!
