Dear Chisa-san,
I had seen small Eastern Bristlebird strutting along
walking track for 40 meters before retreating into
dense heath in Barren Grounds Reserve, NSW.
In ornithology term, this is a highly sedentary bird
and probably never makes any migration. In terms of
'walking' behaviour, most terrestrial such as
bristlebirds, malleefowl must have walked for long
distance everyday in search of food.
In layman term, bristlebirds are strange
walking/running small fat birds. (But I am afraid they
do not migrate)
Cheers,
