Would Chisa be talking about the nomadic habits of Emu's? I assume she means land migration rather than intercontinental migration? If its an intercontinental migrant, such a bird would have to rivel the Jacana for title of "Jesus bird"!
To whom it may concerned, My name is Chisa Uchida, a media coordinator based in Sydney. I'm currently undertaking a research for a Japanese TV program which features various amazing facts collected from around the world. This program aims at helping Japanese to have better understanding of other cultures. In the course of our research, we heard that there is a type of migrant bird in Australia which runs (or walks) to migrate, not to flies. I'm not sure if that is true or false information, but just wondered if you have any information about such kind of bird. I actually inquired Klaus & Brenda Uhlenhut from Kirrama Wildlife Tours, and they recommended me to write you. I'd appreciate if you could give us any information that might help our research. Thank you for your help in advance, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Best Regards, Chisa Uchida Media Researcher ************************************** J.A.
