Hi Val,
Of course cats kill and eat Ringtail Possums (I
don't know about Brushtails) so if that is deterrence, then I guess it will
work. That leaves the problem of stress caused by the cat's poo, which being
predators is much worse than possum poo. The other obvious thing is that cats
don't poo on the patio or anywhere else, if you push a rubber stopper very
tightly up their bottoms.
