For anyone interested in the issue of invasive species, and doing something about it, I'd recommend checking out the Invasive Species Council

This is a policy and lobby group on the invasives issue, established a couple of years ago, steered by some very well known people (Barry Traill, Tim Low, Geoff Carr, etc.).
