Lake Broadwater Bird Hide

Did a trip west of the Sunshine Coast SEQ about 10 days ago, and made a
detour of about 100 kms to go to the Lake Broadwater Bird Hide near Dalby,
only to find a sign "BIRD HIDE CLOSED" and a very serious gate blocking the
road.   No access, no explanation.   Not happy!

 

Does anyone know why or for how long?
