Hi Shane and others,

The Weely Times (theweeklytimes.com.au) and Benalla Ensign have carried reports
of significant stock losses (over 2000 dairy cows and over 4000 sheep) and the
Shepparton and Echuca newspapers would have also done so. The NSW Riverina was
also hit. The temperatures in the area dropped from 38°C to 18°C overnight and
then to 8° the next night, with high winds and heavy rains everywhere. The
Benalla report also said 'dozens of small birds such as wrens and finches were
found lying in gardens and paddocks throughout the rural city, along with a
koala and several deer'.
