Hi Reid, I have been using an Olympus C740 which has a 10x zoom lens (380 mm equivalent) but is only 3.2 megapixels. I also have the Olympus TCON17 teleconverter which brings the lens up to 640 mm and is ideal for birding (albeit with a tripod). The 3.2 megapixels is a bit low, however the newer model Olympus C770 has 4 megapixels, and has a remote control device which with hindsight would have been a much better model for birding, it takes the same teleconverter. You can see some of my results at the site below, Regards - Mike Simpson, Penrith, NSW http://members.optusnet.com.au/ozbirds -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
