Mile Beach in NW Australia.
2. Pin-tailed Snipe at Broome sewage ponds.
3. Seeing Franklin's Gull, Common Redshank, Broad-billed Sandpiper and
Ruff in a couple of hours at Carnarvon.
4. Albany pelagic in early May. Black-bellied Storm-Petrel, Arctic Tern,
Wandering Albatross, Sooty Shearwater.
5. Malleefowl, Western Whipbird, Rufous Fieldwren, Ground Parrot (heard)
at Fitzgerald River NP. Lots of mammals too.
6. Noisy Scrub-bird at Waychinicup. Western Bristlebird, Western Whipbird
at Cheyne Beach.
7. Emu, Azure Kingfisher, Barking Owl at the Argyle Diamond Mine in the
east Kimberley.
8. Hilarys Perth pelagic in August. South Polar Skua. And lots of Dwarf
Minke Whales.
9. A successful twitch to Broome for the Rose-coloured Starling.
10. Crested (Western) Shrike-tits at Dryandra State Forest. And Numbat!
11. Painted Honeyeaters near Dunkeld, Victoria.
12. Swift Parrots and all the Tassie endemics.
13. Providence Petrel off Sydney.
14. New Zealand.
15. Sub-Antarctic Islands, especially Macquarie Island. 250,000+ King
Penguins, 50,000+ Royal Penguins, Gentoo Penguins, Rockhopper Penguins,
Light-mantled Sooty Albatross, Antarctic Terns, Imperial Shags, Grey-headed
Albatross, Southern Fulmar.
16. Fairy Martin at Snares Islands, NZ. Osprey at Pitt Island (Chatham
Islands, NZ). Tree Martin at Chatham Islands.
