SAnderlings in Qld

While doing a web search for something else I came across a website concernong Bowling Green Bay south of Townsville which states  "The wetlands seasonally support more than 20 000 waterfowl (including 4000 brolgas), 10 000 magpie geese and 10 000 sanderlings."

Now, I know better than the think everything on the web is completely factual.  Perhaps someone from up that way can confirm that this area does regularly support 10 000 Sanderling.
