Just returned today from Port Macquarie and had small groups of White-throated Needletails low over the Pacific Highway.  Numbers were minimums only as I was driving in heavy traffic at 100 kph.

Macksville, from Nambucca River to fruit stalls towards Nambucca Heads - 100+;
Martell's Road to Newry Island turnoff Urunga - 20+;
Newry Island Urunga - 30+;
North Bank Road overpass, Bellingen turnoff - 10+;
Pine Creek to Bonville - 20+.

Cloudy conditions with thunderstorms developing.

These numbers are normal this time of the year.

Regards

Greg
