Subject: Dr. Janet Kear

Dr. Janet Kear, arguably the world's foremost waterfowl expert, author of several bird books and an ex-editor of The Ibis has been hospitalized with a
brain tumour and is not expected to recover. Her husband says she has
little to look forward to, and has asked me to write to her. If any
Birding Aussers would also like to write or send a card, would you please
contact me?

Thank you
Denise
