There also seem to be more Sacred Kingfishers in my area of Brisbane than usual. Last year I had no records, this year I've seen at least two separate pairs, and can hear at least another three or four individuals calling off in the distance from across the river. Of course, I may just have been unlucky in my observations last year. Chris - Brisbane > For your information, Sacred Kingfishers are also very common this year > alongside the Nepean in Penrith, I saw three pairs simultaneously cavorting > among the riverside trees last week. -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
