On Tuesday I was wandering along doing an environmental assessment on
farmland just south of Penola in the lower south east of South
Australia, and came across a calling Brown Quail on the edge of a swamp.
There appear to have been comparatively few BQ records in SA during
the recent national atlas, which prompts me to seek your opinion about
how notable the record is. Other species recorded there appear below ...
