I wasn't going to post anymore off-topic, but this is annoying as
its often said but definitely isn't true. All essential amino acids
are present in rice, wheat etc. You can find figures from the FAO
showing world cereal production contains sufficient quantities of all
amino acids to meet the needs of the world's entire population here:
http://www.fao.org/docrep/x2184e/x2184e05.htm

The differing balances of amino acids in foods do make it easier to meet
protein requirements by including non-cereals and this would obviously
be desirable for other reasons too.

The best birding content I can manage is a rather scruffy Cattle Egret
foraging beside on the grass beside busy South Dowling St in Redfern -
a new addition to my urban birds list - I wonder if he'll be joining the
ibis fishing food out of bins. Like last winter I'm seeing & hearing
Yellow-tailed Black-cockatoos through inner Sydney, e.g. feeding next
to the footbridge over Parramatta Rd at Sydney Uni.
