Hi Colin, Last Wednesday (14th July), as we were drifting past Bolton Point (Lake Macquarie) during a yacht race, we heard, and then saw, a Pied Oystercatcher. This bird took off from the rocks on the shoreline under the cliff and flew across to Green Point. I can't remember having ever seen one around the lake before.
