I have a book "A birder's guide to
Japan". It is not a field guide but a places to go, bird lists, maps, etc
358 pages, small format, paperback, weighs 500 grams. It looks pretty good. It
is by Jane Washburn Robinson dated 1987. There was a big heap of them cheap, at
Academic remainders (Canberra) last year, so I bought one, even though the
prospects of me ever getting to Japan are miniscule.

I am looking for a field guide
to Japan. Does anybody know if there is a more
recent one than the
"Field Guide to the Birds of Japan" by Wild Bird Society
of
Japan from '82? This book seems to be out of print and rather difficult to
get. I will travel to Japan in two weeks time therefore it would be
fantastic
if somebody knows an onlineshop or a shop in Sydney where I
can get such a
field
guide.
