I realise that it is not in NSW and not isolated but I had an almost Noisy
Miner free day today walking around (5 km total) a small reservoir (permit
only access) on the outskirts of Brisbane called Gold Creek reservoir.

Highlights included Wonga Pigeon (heard), King Parrot, Horsfield's
Bronze-cuckoo, lots of Bell Miners, Yellow-faced, Lewin's, White-throated,
White-napped, and Scarlet Honeyeaters, White-eared Monarch, Rose Robin and
Crested Shrike-Tit.

The noisy Miners seemed to stay well away from the water's edge - maybe they
couldn't get the written permit for access.

Rgds Tim Murphy
