Lucky your friend is not writing a Christmas book. The editor might point out that it is quite impossible for one man to visit every child in the world in 24 hours. And flying reindeer? Don't get me started.

An editor has said to him that he can't have a magpie, laughing kookaburra
and rainbow lorikeet perched on the same verandah as the magpie would chase
the lories off. I didn't think that would be the case, unless it was in
spring.
Any thoughts?
