Dear Judi and Neil Your description of the two AKs displaying to each other took me to Hanzab. It sounds a bit like what Hanzab calls "Waving Display", two birds flying low over water and then perched facing each other, moving wings backward and forward exposing buff undercoverts. Also at one point one flying in circles around the other. Display continued for 20 minutes with both giving high pitched whistles. Function not known! |
