Apologies if this is slightly off-topic!
My spotting scope is a very old Greenkat, which I was very generously given
when I began birding several years ago. It's no Swarovski or Kowa, but it
does the job.
Unfortunately, the mount that fixes the scope to the tripod has failed, and
I can't find anything to replace it. This mount is a simple circular clamp
that fits around the tube of the scope, with a camera tripod thread in the
base.
Does anyone know of anything that can replace this? I've been to a couple
of optical suppliers with no luck (they probably quite rightly think that
there's little point putting money into the old thing, so it's better to
shell out for a new one).
Any suggestions would be gladly considered!
