Hello Frank and all I have been out and about extensively in SE Queensland over the past few weeks and there are almost no Hardheads around here either. in the latter half of last year there were thousands of them and they were in practically every pond around the place. I suspect that seen the good rains and floods inland, they have all headed there. About 12 years ago I was involved in some aerial surveys at what is now Currawinya NP and there were from memory about 30000 Hardheads there at the time.
