Hi All, At my local salt lagoons, there is a Marsh Sandpiper that has been in the same spot for the last month or so. Everytime i approach, it noisely rises up from the lagoons and flies around me, landing close to me to distract me from something. It continues to sound an alarm call, and often flies around me multiple times until i leave. Do Marsh Sandpipers breed in Australia? If not, what would explain this behaviour? Peter |
