I'm a birder living near Berry, between Wollongong and Nowra, on the south coast of NSW.

I am regularly contacted by residents of the area totally frustrated by trying to rid themselves of Indian Mynas and the impact they have on native birds.

Has anyone got any solutions? or can point me in the right direction?

There appears to be a lack of ownership of the problem anywhere (ie not Councils, not Parks and Wildlife, depending on location of the property, or traps at $1,200 each which simply relocate the problem...........temporarily!!)

- or I simply dont know enough yet to chase up good solutions/resources.......

Your feedback would be gratefully appreciated
