Last weekend, 15 Feb, I saw a Mallee Ringneck feeding on seed pods in an open garden on the edge of Bouddi NP at Macmasters Beach NSW. It was feeding with three Eastern Rosellas and hung around with them for at least an hour or so. This area of Bouddi NP is Banksia Heath/Eucalypt forest. Would this be an escapee or are there any records of Mallee Ringnecks in coastal NSW?
