The European Curlew sounds pretty depressed when
calling, my guess is that is what it would be.
Although it depends to a certain extent where the bird
is situated in the landscape as to whether it would be
a curlew or not. But coming from the south coast of
England that is my bet. Can't have any old bird
popping up, a la Rainbow Lorikeets in the Stringy bark
forset in Ned Kelly can we?!
