Hi all,

Thankyou all for the warm welcome to the list and the helpful replies to my newbie queries. Now that I know I can get good answers from you helpful people I thought I'd ask another.

What is the significance of the SIPO? I checked out Robert Inglis' great photo guide and found that interesting. I live very close to the Entrance so have the opportunity to see this bird. I can't find anything in my field guide (lastest ed. Simpson and Day) about the SIPO. Where are they from? How often do we see them in Australia?

      Thanks for any info.
