I was on hide duty at edithvale wetland (SE suburban melbourne) today.  The 
water
levelis dropping rapidly.  Along with the usual suspects there were a several 
hundred
sharp tailed sandpipers, excellent views of a latham's snipe, a spotless crake 
and a
greenshank.
