The Edithvale bird hide will be open on Wednesday evenings again from this
Wednesday (7th Jan)   5pm - 7pm, and following weeks  until it dries out.
We hope to meet some more Birding- aus members this month.

I was on hide duty at edithvale wetland (SE suburban melbourne) today.  The
water
levelis dropping rapidly.  Along with the usual suspects there were a
several hundred
sharp tailed sandpipers, excellent views of a latham's snipe, a spotless
crake and a
greenshank.
