Gedday all,
I managed to spend a few days around Airey's Inlet (Vic 150kms SW of Melb.)
I was able to locate Southern Emu-wrens at two sites thanks to directions from
Margaret Cameron. After creeping, listening and stalking for some time, a tick
for me. Two other interesting things were a Freckled Duck at the small reserve
on the left as you enter Airey's from Angelsea. It was there on 19 and 20 th
December. Then at Anglesea, a pair of Hooded Plovers at the outlet of the
Eustuary of the Anglesea River to the sea. They were there around midday but
dis-appeared shortly after.
Best wishes to all.
