  Afternoon All.
Black and Wood Ducks have had a penchant for our pool, to the dismay
of the Penny the pool cleaner. The ducks would even roost on the pool cover,
adding to her fury.
Shooting was out, the ducks weren't fat enough to eat any way, but
serendipity in the form of a new pool cleaner, known as Nessie, has saved
the day, and possibly the ducks
Nessie writhes around the pool, pokes her fearsome head out, slurping
and growling, arches her corrugated backbone above the water in several
places, and even terrified our dog (a Maltese Terrier) into keeping well
away.
Not a duck seen on the pool since Nessie has taken up residence, but a
mother Wood duck was out walking her nine ducklings down the drive this
morning.
                                Cheers
                                      Michael
