Hi there birders, While waiting at traffic lights on my way home this evening I witnessed a very opportunistic activity by a Red Wattlebird. It waited in a tree near the lights and when all were on red and there was no movement in the intersection, it swooped down and captured an insect (a bee I think) fluttering on the road. It did this twice before the lights turned green for me. This is the first time I have witnessed this kind of behaviour. My wife witnessed it a few days ago at the same intersection, presumably the same bird.
