Tim,
I am certain Alan Morris will be able to tell you a lot more, but Blackbirds
seem to about as far north in NSW as Barraba/Wee Waa/Bourke. Our database
(which also contains Birds Australia records) has a recent record from
Inverell but this has not been confirmed. I don't know if they are expanding
north (I seem to recall them in places such as Nyngan years ago) but they do
seem to be increasing in numbers within their existing range - or maybe that
is just my dodgy memory.
Cheers,
Peter

Recently one of the members of Birds Queensland reported an European
Blackbird (a.k.a Common or Eurasian) at Coonabarabran, NSW (31 degrees 30
south)which is about 300km from the QLD border (28 degrees 30 south). I
myself have seen them at Barraba (30 degrees 30 south)which is a little
further north.
I believe that they are spreading and I wonder what is the furthermost
northern point they have been seen in NSW? Could anyone please tell me. Or
has anyone seen one in Queensland?
Tim Murphy
