Hi all,
just a quick email regarding the sighting a colleague and l made
yesterday heading back from South Gippsland, Victoria. We were amazed to see a
huge flock of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos (approximately 150-180 birds)
flying over the bare hills at Loch, approximately 16 kilometres north west of
Korumburra, Victoria. I was unsure whether this is a common occurrence (large
flocks) in this part of the world, or in fact the birds were on the move,
heading towards the rangers. I must admit it was the largest flock of YTBC's l
have see, and certainly an impressive sight.

Any thoughts comments would be useful.

Thanks
