In June, a friend, who's interested in birds, but is no expert by his own admission, saw what he could only think were Orange Bellied Parrots (because of a red patch on their bellies) in Violet Town, Vic, although he realized that this way out of their range. He didn't have a field guide to check finer details with him and I'm now wondering whether they could have been Turquoise Parrots, although I gather they would be fairly rare in that area. Any ideas?
