I had a quick visit to the Sewerage works that are currently closed for
major renovations but you can still get a reasonable look through the
fence.
Thousands of Plumed Whistling Ducks were present also:

Red- kneed Dotterel
Masked Lapwing
Whiskered Tern
Opposite the Mercure Hotel was a pair of nesting Ospreys with 2 chicks
and a roosting Tawny Frogmouth about 3 metres off the ground. Also saw Rainbow
Lorikeets, Striated Pardalote, Pheasant Coucal and White- gaped Honeyeaters in
town.
