What can I say!  When you are endangered and have a name and a face like a warty faced honeyeater (otherwise known as the regent honeyeater) - why would you call loudy and show off ? Only a truly stunning endangered bird such as the swift parrot would be so loud and proud for the cameras! ha ha!

A bit like beauty and the beast - but no matter where your allegiances lie with regard to the beauty of these birds, they are a very good combination to search for during the upcoming Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater National Survey Weekend (Aug 2/3).  If anyone is interested in becoming involved in searching their local area for these species please feel free to contact myself/ David Geering (NSW) or Chris Tzaros (Vic) for more info or for survey sheets.
