I used to live near Centennial Park and would often see flocks of these cockatoos, especially during the colder parts of the year. I am not sure if they are permanent residents, but they can often be seen feeding from the various conifers planted in the park in large stands. There was often a good chance of seeing them in the corner of the park nearest the intersection of Darley Rd and Alison Rd, where there are many mature trees. cheers Kath This message was sent through MyMail http://www.mymail.com.au Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
