It is not a nice thing at all with moving roadkill off the road. My daughter always stops and moves roadkill from the road and always checks pouches if they are female. In western areas where you would come across roadkill a lot more than other areas, it would be so hard to remove all of them. Some of us in wildlife groups are involved with doing a count on roadkill. We have this GPS which we take in the car with us and we pull over, even for birds, possums, roos, wallabies, wombats and ferals as well. It is interesting, I haven't had too much roadkill in my area, but we record everything (the person who has the GPS) and I then have to download it to the guy at the Uni. Marian |
