I have to agree with Paul Walbridge on this one. In drought times, in western areas, it would take weeks to get anywhere if we shifted all road kills. A few years ago, my wife and I counted over 100 'roo carcasses in a ten kilometre section of road just south of Surat (Queensland). I would probably still be there if I had tried to move all the carcasses. However, I have tried to move roadkills, where possible, for many years. Wedgetails are the main problem in many areas. I have even found them feeding on roadkills in the middle of the night on isolated back roads. They seem to take even longer to take off at night.
