Dear Michael I remember watching Eyrean Grasswrens popping in and out of shrubs half way up a sand dune at Goyders Lagoon on the Birdsville Track - I think it was September 1998. The Grey Grasswrens were down at the edge of the lagoon hiding in the Lignum, from which they would make quick dashes to catch an insect or move to another clump. The Eyrean gave us a great display as we sat above about 7 m away and were still there when people came back later and wanted to see them. Cheers - Penny |
