Far South Coast Birdwatchers (NSW) report the reappearance of 'our' Beach Stone-curlew. First observed at Pambula River between Dec 1-14, 2002 then again at same site between late February until March 27, 2003 it (presumably the same bird?) appeared in Merimbula Lake on May 15 and still there today. View on the north side of the lake, along Beach St, Merimbula, and further east. Access to sand flats from Spencer Park near the playground. The sheltered bay seems a suitable roost site where there are logs and sedges, all accessible at low tide.
