Hi there

Those that missed out on the OPs on Saturday[ when the weather was far from friendly] will be pleased to know the birds were still at the new location today[Wed].

They spent a great deal of time hawking over the Lake Borrie-Little River corner at the end of the Paradise road lagoons, as reported by Chris Lester on Sunday. Once they dropped down to rest on the grassy tussocks to the right side of the broken bridge and one of them came to the roadside bank near the bridge.

A calm and pleasant day [so different from Saturday], and quiet. Just one other birder, apart from Bob Swindley who was meticulously carrying out one of his waterfowl surveys.

A number of foxes using the tracks.

Thanks to Chris and others for the tip off on the new location.

Does anyone know if these OPs are going to migrate and when?

Cheers

Laurie Living
