Hi Robert, I have never seen the problem you raise. As a matter of practice though I always have a reasonable expectation of what reading should come up and I always satisfy myself that it looks roughly Ok before marking a fix. I agree though, I always take a compass with me and watch the landmarks, cloud cover, sun, etc, as well as the GPS, just to be sure. I'd hate to feed the Wedgies or Ravens. Tony. |
