Many thanks to those who have responded to my original message regarding my Magellan GPS units. It has been very helpful and interesting. After my initial attempts to get them working, I left them outside for about 15 - 20 minutes and, guess what? They were both working and had locked into 5 satellites. So I seem to have had the same story as Bob Sothman. I have just tried them again this morning and both had 4 satellites after a few minutes.
