Hi All,
We all know about the many and detailed guidelines Bob has posted on the
subject of digiscoping. I didn't read any of it, as it doesn't touch my line
of interest. Sure I want pictures, but I don't really want to know how to
make them. I don't have time.
I am now a beneficiary of Bob's endless hours spent gaining experience in
photographing birds, and gee, am I grateful to him. So grateful that I
wanted you all to know. Bob has been out with us twice onto the Caloundra
sandbanks (SEQ) to try some digiscoping. We left him to it while we got on
with our project business.
On Saturday he presented me with a couple of CDs which he had made up of
some of the terns he has photographed in January. They are absolutely
marvellous for my work, which includes education and public awareness. Terns
in countless positions doing all manner of things that birds do, and showing
all parts of their plumages. I will be able to use it to demonstrate the
changing plumages of terns, and to help me try to sort out questions of
plumage progression which plague me.
Bob, if we had a set of pictures covering all the tern species over the
course of a year, we would really be well set up. When are you coming out
again????
Cheers,
Jill
